Last night I spent a few hours getting to know Mike and Casey, whom I am shooting their wedding on Sept. 18th. We hung around downtown Newburryport, walking around having fun and taking the occasional photo. I of course was looking at all the nooks and cranys that the town had to offer and always kept and eye out for any alleys that might appear.
A little shy at first, Casey and Mike quickly fell at ease and were themselves and we had a blast shooting. They then took me to the Black Cow where we had dinner and talked about everything from cars to Casey's wedding dress. It was a great time!
Thanks!

So vacation is over and I have been shooting like crazy! First a really cool assignment for Stuff Magazine and then two cool engagement shoots this past weekend.
Late last week I met up with Peter and Nicole in the North End for a fun evening engagement shoot. They were pretty hip to work with and we had a lot of fun, they even changed outfits in the middle of the shoot. While I was shooting them and lying on the ground for a shot, one of my previous couples was here on vacation from Dallas and saw us and came by to say hello, which I thought was very cool.
Yesterday I met up with Michelle and Nathan on a place not to far from my home, Lynn Shore drive, where there is this cool park that lets you walk down onto the rocks and water. Michelle and Nathan were a breeze to work with and we had lots of fun shooting on the oceanfront while the sun was hovering its last moments above us.
Both couples are seriously in love and I can't wait to shoot their weddings!

Sunday found me waking up to a beautiful warm day. I slept till around 11 before heading out to Worcester to meet up with Cheryl and Sean for their engagement shoot. I met them at Elm Park, a pretty cool place with some nice ponds and bridges. I had no idea there were nice parks in Worcester, probably because I don't get out to that side of the state much, lol. So we walked around and talked about the new Star Trek movie and made some nice photos. It was a great beginning to a great day.
Later I met up with Mike and Julia near State Street in Boston for their engagement photos. WE walked around the city streets and I just looked for cool backgrounds and I snapped away. I love shooting in Boston, the urban mess is just cool to me!

I met up with Keith and Sara at Hampton Beach on Saturday to get to know them and take some engagement shots.
I guess everyone went to Hampton Beach as a kid, and all three of us tried to remember what it was like growing up. Was the paint chipped and cracking then? The games all old? Was the beach as littered, or as kids did we just not care? I don't know.
I do know that Keith and Sara are crazy for each other and that I had a great time shooting them.

So March is one of those months that is a transition from album making to actually getting back outside and shooting. Usually its super cold all winter so there are few engagement shoots, but Friday was like 60+ degrees and Saturday was in the high 40's so we were able to shoot. Of course today we were hit with another 15 inches of snow, so we got this shoot complete in the nick of time, for now we are back to snow, slush and ice covering the ground!

Where is Spring!
Saturday's shoot was with the uber couple Jackie and Joe. I am doing their wedding this summer in Cape Cod and from working with them on their engagement shoot I can tell their wedding is going to be so so awesome!
Jackie and Joe have a fun and loving attitude, you can see their love when they look at each other and when they laugh! Just a really cool couple!
We started the shoot on Mass Ave and then headed to the Border Cafe where they had their first date in Harvard Square. At the Border, we had margaritas which provided a cool ending to our engagement shoot session.
I do have to say that the margaritas at the Border Rock!
