I don't just shoot weddings, so I thought I would share some personal fun :)
Sometimes when I finish a shoot I have a few extra frames left on a roll, so Ill shoot whatever inspire me. Be it my neighbors kids having fun or some light hitting the flowers in my garden. Either way, photography is not just a job for me, its a passion.
And yes these are all film.

Was getting ready to take the film from WeiJing and Jeremy's wedding to the lab and realized I had a whole roll in my pentax 645 left. So, I did what any decent minded person would do. I shot it all at once.
Here is about ten seconds in the life of my beagle kook.

This past sunday I had a gig shooting a jazz jam session at Chianti in Beverly. I normally don't listen to jazz, but I loved it. Everything these musicians did was golden. I know I don't really have a good taste in music, thats what I am told, but these musicians new how to play and convey emotion with their instruments and words. I will be going back too see these guys sing and play soon!

For my film guru's, this was all shot on my Nikon F5 with a nikkor 85mm f1.4 lens and a sigma 28mm f1.8 lens all on kodak portra 400 pushed two stops in development and rated 1600 in camera. I metered for the midtones with my spot meter and shot. Some shots I used flash bounced over my shoulder, set to manual at 1/64th power.
I still can't get over how good this portra 400 held up. It was dark in here and the red stage lights were not that bright. This film is like gold!
Film was hand developed at the Finer Image photo lab in Danvers, Ma and scanned by them as well. These are straight scans. Special thanks to johnny Argudas who came down to shoot some rolls too!
