The Fourth of July is my favorite time of the year. I love it more then I love christmas and I love christmas. This holiday I had the pleasure of being able to go sailing on my cousin Vinny's yacht and then being able to go the beach with my little cousins.

The actual Fourth was spent with my Nona who is going in for hear surgery soon, but monday and tuesday were ocean days for me.
All the images below were shot on 35mm film, Kodak Portra 160VC and 400VC. I love film. These shots have no corrections to them at all, these are the straight negative scans from the lab.
Enjoy and take a peak into my life :)

Saturday found me up in Rockport with model Shannah Avery Taylor and my good photographer friend Johnny Arguedas for a little fashion shoot.
The theme, retro on the run. We wanted to make some high fashion story shots of a 1950's film with a girl on the run, you know, lost and looking for her knight in shining armor. lol. Well we had a sweet shoot and were probably the highlight of the wharf that evening.
I wanted to add some shots I shot in film that I just got back from the lab, sorry for the late update!

This weekend I am shooting what will be a incredible wedding in Las Vegas with Kelly and Ken at the Mandarin Oriental and Bellagio Hotels.

At the moment I am sitting here at the Jet Blue terminal at Logan Airport watching my plane, "breath of fresh Blue" pull into the boarding zone. There are a good hundred plus people around me all waiting for the 7:30 boarding call for our flight. I just thought I would share a few of my thoughts on flying and shooting.
I spend the day checking my gear, packing and then double checking. I got a hair cut, some new rolls of film and ran a number of errands around town. Checking into the flight was pretty simple, as well checking my lighting bag, no fee at at all, thanks jet blue!
I made sure that TSA hand inspected my film so that no fogging occurs. Now I wait. I wait to get on my flight, watch the little TV that will keep me going for the five hour flight to Vegas. My biggest decisions in the next few hours will be what channels do I want to watch, soda or wine, chips or cookies and nap or stay awake. Not bad right?
I think one day I should see if I can commissioned to just photograph people at the airport waiting. I think the airport shows a good cross reference of the US, and people. At least on Jet Blue. Rich, poor, young, old, Indian, Italian, everyone sits together and waits for their flight.
Cheers!
I will post some shots from the wedding saturday Sunday if I can!
Image from my iphone! Yea!

Thursday found me spending a splendid evening with Marissa and Gregg for their engagement shoot in Waltham. I met them at their house and from there we headed to the Brandies College where they met. Such a cool campus, looks like and is pretty much a castle, kinda like hogwortz in the Harry Potter films, a great place to fall in love.
Marissa and Gregg were so rad to shoot, Gregg even brought the spanish book he was reading from when he first glanced eyes onto the lovely Marissa. It was very cool to be in the spot they first met.
After the college, we headed to a nice restaurant on Moody street where Marissa and Gregg bought me dinner and proceeded to fill me up with margaritas. It was great. From there we headed down Moody street and just had some more fun with the vintage and not so vintage mix of culture and architecture of the street.
One of my favorite engagement shoots yet!

I love fashion and glamour photography. I mean, next to shooting weddings I love setting up eloboratte photo projects, working out details, finding outfits and then directing and shooting. This shoot had been in my mind for a while, and only came to be when our initial location that we were going to shoot at had to cancel. So what did I do? I rented a cheap motel room!
I wanted to take photos that told the story of a lonely beautiful girl with no where to go. Hair was done by Kristine Young and makeup by Rosalba Matone. Dresses are available at Lorraine Roy in Danvers, Ma. My model is my sic friend Mellie.
Enjoy!
