Welcome to my blog! Hi everyone!  This is the place where I post my latest weddings, shoots and travel details.  If you want to see what I am doing, this is the place to be.
Today I had the pleasure of visiting with my good friend and college alum Julie and her fiancée Adam. I went to Salem State College and was part of the honors department for four years with Julie, so we shared many classes and adventures.

I was so happy when Julie told me she was getting married on facebook a few months ago and so today we finally go to do some engagement shoots.  Julie has been inviting me to parties for a while now and everyone always seems to land on a day I have a wedding or a family commitment so it was good to hang out with her and Adam today and learn about them.

We started the shoot at Silver lake where Adam proposed to them and then went off to the Rt. 38 Cafe for some warmer shots.  I think it was 25 degrees out and my hands were getting numb.

I wanted to post these shots today since I am heading to the Digital Wedding Forum Convention in Nashville tomorrow and won't be back for a week!  EEEK!  So here is some of the fun from today and the meals we had!

See if you can guess what each of us had in the comments!

Last night I had a meeting with one of my 2010 couples, Michael and Vaila, for their wedding at Bel Mar in Newport. We met at the state room to go over their day and talk about cool ideas and their engagement shoot.  It was great to meet them and I think their wedding is going to be a absolute awesome time with all the work they are putting into it.

They want to do a polaroid guest book and so I searched the web and I think this will be a great idea for the wedding.  Its just getting polaroid film that can be an issue.  I really wish I had a polaroid camera myself sometimes.

Anyway, after the meeting I met up with my brother's fiance Jesse and my friend Rebecca and we headed to the new Ames hotel on state street.  Now we almost waked right by this place, but when I stopped to ask someone where it was he said,"you here,"  well the place has no sign so you kinda just gotta know!

Once inside it was like being in something you see only on TV like CSI or one of those cool Vegas hotels.  So we headed to the bar and ordered.  I was told earlier that I had to try this late night hamburger and so I did.

The waiter brought it over to the table and I took a bite.  Never, ever have I had a hamburger taste like this.  It melted in my mouth and was full of flavor.  It was like heaven.  All I know is I will be back.  A $15 hamburger that is perfect.

I also think this hotel would be perfect for a cool engagement shoot or fashion shoot.  Can't wait to see what the new year will bring!

I went to a wedding at Bel Mar two years ago, and it is a beautiful site! Pictures overlooking the water and the Hope Bridge at sunset are stunning!

Joseph,
An easy workaround for your client that wanted the Polaroid guestbook is to take the photos and then use a little program called Poladroid (www.poladroid.net) and it will create Polaroid photos for you with the look and feel as if you did it with the actual thing. Take a look at it, at the very least you'll enjoy the 'fire and forget' aspect of it.

I just wanted to share some of my moments or traditions from my family Christmas with you.  Me and my family spend the day at my Nona's house where we eat and drink and eat again.  We exchange presents and play cards.  Its a fun day when the entire family gets together and enjoys the same foods we have for as many christmases as I can remember.  Stuffed peppers, fired zucchini, pasta, eggplant parm, rabbit, beef, lamb and so many pastries!

Joseph, Let me start by saying WOW! Great weekend at the conference, it wouldn't have been the same without you! I had such a blast hanging with you at DWF! I now have a great new friend and admire your work so much. Thank you for making me karaoke even though I sing horribly!...I'll always remember that we share a profound love for all things 80's! Until Next time, au revoir et salut!

Ay, Jing-a-di-jing
It's Koko the doggy.
jing-a-di-jing woof woof woof woof.
De Italian Christmas doggy.
Lalalalalalalalala. lalalalalaladidooda.

I just love christmas! This is my dog Koko and he loves opening his gifts under the tree.  He goes and smells all the packages and I just can't figure out how he knows the ones that contain toys for him and not just cloths or toys for kids.

Here he is in his elf hat!
