Saturday was a first for me, my first chance to photograph a same sex men's wedding. I excited to say that it rocked!

Jim and Cary planned a perfect small town New England style wedding in their town at the Philips Exeter Academy. They celebrated their love with their closest family and friends. The ceremony was held at the campus's church. It was a moving ceremony with family and friends singing some great songs, even some music from Il Divo. It was great and I love it when I am surrounded by such good music and people who love each other.
The reception was a cocktail style party with a lovely cake by confectionArt in York Maine, made of buttercream frosting topped with chocolate sculptures of Jim and Cary. As the day went on and got hotter, the chocolate did too and sometime while we were out doing photos, the little sculptures tumbled off and onto the floor. They were rescued and reset on the cake, but not without first sustaining some injuries.
Well enough of my chit chat, here are some pics!

City lights, trolly and a barking crab. Yup! Its another totally wicked cool wedding! This past weekend I document Sarah and Harold's wedding day. Starting with them at the seaport hotel, down to the Trinity church and then down to the Barking Crab for photos before heading back to the Seaport for the reception.

This wedding just rocked. Sarah was exquisite in her gown, as were her bridesmaids and Harold and his fellow groomsmen all looked sharp in their suits with brown shoes and vineyard vines ties and Tiffany & Co. cufflinks. Don't you love my run on sentences!
The ceremony at Trinity was very beautiful, as the church is just a site to behold. We went to Copley plaza right after the ceremony to take some photos with the church. The only hiccup was a few bums trying to bother us and then photograph the couple with some disposable cameras. Its was pretty funny. I will say this about the church though, they need to take down that ugly ramp in the front and the crazy banners hanging everywhere, they totally take away from the beauty of the church.
Blue lights and hydrangeas filled the reception room at the seaport and Soul Boston provided a cool lay down of music for everyone to groove to with their 1980's muscle car sunglasses.
Enough of my ranting, check out the love and photographs below!

Rain, rain, go away and come back another day. Well that's not what happened for Juliana and Paul's wedding this past saturday. But, really, do you need or want clear blue skies, nahhh! Love is everywhere for Juliana and Paul.

We started the day off at Juliana's parents home in Somerville and then headed to the church in Peabody for a quick ceremony and then we were off to Mystery Train Records in Gloucester for photos. We had some fun on main street, even with the drizzling rain. The light was just magical and Paul and Juliana ate it up, and I photographed it.
From there we headed over to the wonderful Cruiseport, for the reception. It was a rad reception with awesome uplighting from Boston up lights and music from Nu-Image, and pastry! Tons and tons of pastry for everyone.
Well take a look as I am off to bed!

It was a gorgeous day last saturday for Olga and Giovanni to be married! I met up with Olga at the Renaissance Hotel where she was getting ready with her bridesmaids and family. My cousin, Rosalba, was there to do her makeup and then another one of my friends, Jackie, was there to do her hair.

We then headed to St. Mary's Orthodox church in Cambridge for the ceremony, which was very beautiful and the priest very lively. I actually thought he was like the Sicilian in the Princess Bride, just a funny guy. Crowns and rings were exchanged and Olga and Giovanni were married.
After the ceremony it started to pour, but by the time we arrived in the North End, the rain was over and we had some nice light to take photos on Atlantic Ave before heading to Fillipo's for the reception.
The reception was yummy to say the least, with tons of great Italian dishes being served up for everyone. Emotional speeches and toast were all around. It was a great time for everyone there.

Wow, Joe!! These surpass even my high expectations of your work!! Thank you for these amazing shots -- Jim and I can't wait to see the others!
(06.29.10 @ 02:34 PM)Like the little chocolate men, I had a severely broken ankle that kept me home-bound, away from the wedding. I got tears in my eyes looking at these photos! You really captured their love for each other and the joy of their celebration. Well done!
