Saturday I met up with Jessica and Arnie for their engagement shoot over at the wicked awesome Museum of Fine Art in Boston. Jessica and Arnie are getting married in two weeks and this was their first chance to get out with me and have some fun.
We roamed the halls of artwork, took in some culture and took lots of photos. I believe this was Jessica and Arnie's first time to the MFA and I hope they really enjoyed the art and history there. I know I had a great time learning who they were and now I am excited to shoot their wedding which I know will be great!

Like every sunday morning, I wake up, pour a big glass of coffee with lots of sugar (hehe) and then sit down and read my Boston Sunday Globe and sometimes the weekend edition of the wallstreet journal.

This is my time to catch up with the world, relax and just be me. This Sunday's art section had a story about Richard Avedon's photos of JFK and Jackie and their family. I looked at these photos and was just wowed by them. I loved them. The classic pose and great structure of the shots just made me think. So then I found myself looking up JFK's wedding in 1953 in Newport, and I found some great shots by Lisa Larsen on Time/life's website. I think their wedding has a timeless look and is a great source of inspiration for modern weddings that want that newport classic vintage look, what also amazes me is the photojournalistic approach at their wedding, when so many other weddings at the time were still just line them up and shoot em, as we say, grip and grins.
Well with the rain today, and the ash in europe, I hope you find these photos inspirational.

Well I think most people know I am not a huge fan of carnivals, they just down right bother me sometimes, but then I was thinking about that love montage in "The Karate Kid" and thought that an engagement shoot at a carnival could be totally fun with all the unber lights and funky backgrounds.
So when Mike and Jennifer asked me for a location for their shoot, I proposed the carnival in Revere, and told them my ideas and they were totally excited as was I.
Mike and Jennifer are a great couple and I will be shooting their wedding later this month. They were having a blast and I just hovered around and took some photos. They danced, laughed and kissed. It was a great shoot.
Check out the cool slideshow too!

So little Robert is a few weeks old now and was time for a few more shots of him, this time awake and aware. We ditched his "just hatched" hat and went for some shots of him just doing what he does, lying down. He was super good and did not even cry.
We put him in his rocker right after and he fell fast asleep, making me want to take a nap too!
Till his six month session, cheers!

So I happened to get a call to photograph some sic shoes the other day, and it turned out to be a fun little shoot.
These shoes by Ice Kix are launching soon and they are covered by swarovski crystals by hand, they are designed by Marianne and can be inquired about here. They come in many colors and I can't wait to do a full catalog shoot with them.
I think they might make for some funky shoes at a wedding who knows the possibilities!

Sin City! What a place to shoot! I just got home after spending four days in Las Vegas for WPPI. I also took some time to meet up with a great couple and shoot them in the desert and on the strip. We shot out in Red Rock Canyon and on the strip. The dress was provided by Lorain Roy of Danvers, MA.

It was a great shoot until it started to rain and we had to head back to the hotel.
Check out these shots, they are sweet!
